Npower consumers ‘thrown into chaos’ by errors

Energy giant npower is criticised strongly by Citizens Tips, whose figures reflect the variety of complaints reaching The Agencies

 

The alarming amount of complaints received by The Agenciesabout poor service at vitality giant npower has been reflected in figures published by a customer watchdog.

Citizens Advice explained npower attracted the most complaints at each reading throughout 2013, with customers’ finances “thrown into chaos”.

Its tables estimate that among October and December there have been 306 complaints per 1,000 customers.

This was 3 times as numerous as the 2nd-worst performer Scottish Energy and ten occasions as several as people created by rival firm SSE, which recorded only 31 complaints per 1,000 consumers.

Gillian Guy, chief executive of Citizens Guidance, explained: “Things are receiving worse not greater for npower clients.
